Alleviation of Salt Stress in Wheat Seedlings via Multifunctional Bacillus aryabhattai PM34: An In-Vitro Study

چکیده

Plant growth-promoting rhizobacteria play a substantial role in plant growth and development under biotic abiotic stress conditions. However, understanding about the functional of rhizobacterial strains for wheat salt remains largely unknown. Here we investigated antagonistic bacterial strain Bacillus aryabhattai PM34 inhabiting ACC deaminase exopolysaccharide producing ability to ameliorate salinity seedlings vitro The was isolated from potato rhizosphere screened different PGP traits comprising nitrogen fixation, potassium, zinc solubilization, indole acetic acid, siderophore, ammonia production, along with various extracellular enzyme activities. showed significant tolerance towards both stresses including (NaCl 2 M), heavy metal (nickel, 100 ppm, cadmium, 300 ppm), heat (60 °C), through mycelial inhibition Rhizoctonia solani (43%) Fusarium (41%). PCR detection ituC, nifH, acds genes coding iturin, nitrogenase, indicated potential promotion tolerance. In experiment, NaCl (2 M) decreased while inoculation enhanced germination% (48%), root length (76%), shoot (75%), fresh biomass (79%), dry (87%) over un-inoculated control 2M level. results experiments depicted augment when inoculated plants saline environment.

Role of Ulva lactuca Extract in Alleviation of Salinity Stress on Wheat Seedlings

Seaweeds are potentially excellent sources of highly bioactive materials that could represent useful leads in the alleviation of salinity stress. The effects of presoaking wheat grains in water extract of Ulva lactuca on growth, some enzymatic activities, and protein pattern of salinized plants were investigated in this study. Algal presoaking of grains demonstrated a highly significant enhance...

THE EFFECT OF SALT STRESS ON MALATE DEHYDROGENASE IN WHEAT

Effect of various NaCI treatments (0, 50, 100, 200 and 300 mM) at different growth and development stages (tillering, boot swollen, flowering and anthesis) of two wheat cultivars  on the kinetic activity and PAGE electrophoretic pattern of leaf malate dehydrogenase was studied under greenhouse conditions. Ghods was salt-sensitive and Boolani was salt-tolerant. In general, in response to salinti...

Alleviation of Osmotic Stress Effects by Exogenous Application of Salicylic or Abscisic Acid on Wheat Seedlings

The aim of the study was to assess the role of salicylic acid (SA) and abscisic acid (ABA) in osmotic stress tolerance of wheat seedlings. This was accomplished by determining the impact of the acids applied exogenously on seedlings grown under osmotic stress in hydroponics. The investigation was unique in its comprehensiveness, examining changes under osmotic stress and other conditions, and t...
